1. Introduction
Welcome to Brainfire AI, an AI-powered education coach and mentor app designed to help students, professionals, and anyone who wants to build consistent habits in daily life. This Privacy Policy explains how ("I", "me", or "Developer") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the Brainfire AI mobile application.
By using Brainfire AI, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. I am committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently and responsibly.
2. Information I Collect
I collect the minimum amount of data necessary to provide you with a great experience:
- Email address — collected during account registration, stored securely on Firebase servers.
- Display name — optionally provided by you, stored only on your device (not uploaded to any server).
- Profile photo — optionally provided by you, stored only on your device (not uploaded to any server).
- Focus status — when you start a focus session, your "Focused" status becomes visible to your approved friends within the app. No session content, duration, or details are shared.
- Usage data — anonymized analytics to improve app performance, collected via Firebase Analytics.
- Device Permissions — We may request access to your photo library/camera (strictly to let you choose a profile photo, which stays on your device) and push notifications (to send focus reminders and app updates). You can revoke these at any time in your device settings.
⚡ Your name and profile photo never leave your device. They are stored locally using iOS UserDefaults and are not transmitted to our servers.
3. AI & Data Processing
As an AI-powered application, Brainfire AI utilizes third-party artificial intelligence services to provide personalized coaching and mentoring. The text prompts, goals, and interactions you have with the AI within the app are sent to these services solely for the purpose of generating responses.
🔒 Privacy First: Your personal data, interactions, and prompts are not used to train our AI models or the foundational models of our third-party AI providers.
